PADI Emergency First Response Instructor
Teach others to help others with first aid emergencies
The PADI Emergency First Response Instructor course will train you as an EFR Instructor, offering layperson care in:
- Primary Care/CPR
- Secondary Care/First Aid
- Primary & Secondary Care for Infants and Children
- Use of ‘Automated External Defibrillators’ for Adults
This course is available to both non-divers and divers, and if you don’t have any CPR/First Aid training we can offer that prior to running the Instructor course for you. We offer this program as part of our scuba diving internships here in Belize, and as stand-alone programs.

This one-day course trains you to conduct and certify divers in the Emergency First Response program and ‘Care for Children’ program. The course teaches you:
- how to conduct both primary and secondary care option
- providing oxygen
- ‘automated external defibrillator’ orientation
- first aid for children
This course is an asset for anyone who works with infants and children. This rating is an essential credential for dive Instructors. PADI Divemasters and Assistant Instructors are also able to undergo EFR Instructor training and independently issue EFR certifications.
Increase your employability and ability to effectively market CPR and First Aid by increasing your potential audience. Even if your providers never use their ‘Care for Children’ training they will find the training invaluable and reassuring.
